Almost
weekly, Alliance Consulting is taking part in new discussions with regional, national

One
of the biggest challenges facing all companies involved in providing renewable
energy solutions, or bio-fuels, is securing large and efficient sources of bio-mass.
In this regard, we have assumed an immediate leadership role that will sustain
itself for many years to come. Alliance has discovered such sources in the form
of Yucca trees that reach full maturity in only three years in Asia, but now,
also in our own backyard in Connecticut.

A
quickly growing industry must often deal with 'old news.' At Alliance Consulting,
we see this every day in our discussions about what can and what can't be done
when it comes to renewable energy sources. One common misconception is that large
quantities of bio-diesel are still not feasible. What isn't widely known (yet)
is that there ARE proven technologies available now that can grow algae at rates
capable of producing quantities in the 500 million to 1 billion gallon range.
This isn't research speculation, it's possible, today!

As
outlined in The Investment Promotion Act B.E. 2520 (1977), The Thailand Board
of Investment - whose sole purpose is to promote domestic and foreign investments
considered important and useful to the social and economic development of the
country - has the power to designate investment activity that is eligible for
promotion.
A few years ago, the bio-oil
business was promoted. Now, in a recent announcement from the government, the
"manufacture of alcohol or fuel from agricultural products including scrap,
garbage and/or waste" has also been deemed eligible for promotion.
This
recent addendum to the Act is significant to our Bio-Oil project. Not only does
this denote further endorsement by the Thai government, but it will result in
a number of benefits from which we will benefit, including considerable tax breaks,
the ability to purchase land and housing provisions.
